Makoto Kino is the main alias of Francisco Cabrera Celio, 29 years old musician based in Mexico City.

Glitter Rose Garden, his new mini album, continues the themes explored on his debut album, Eternal Loss. The consequences and emotional burdens of putting oneself as priority. The self as a garden that without proper care decays and never goes back to what it used to be.

It was composed and produced between 2015 and 2020, at the same time other projects by the musician were being made. The record shows a more ritualistic sound, in which layers of sound cover each other like a mantra.

Between Eternal Loss and Glitter Rose Garden, the musician has explored genres like ambient, noise, club and glitch via CDR releases under his personal label, Drone Idol. He has also ventured into field recording and long format pieces under the INEGI alias and mixtapes under the DJSJ alias.

The sound and methods of the musician are influenced by artists like Rites Wild, Holly Herndon, Laurel Halo, Tentenko, Aqours, the japanese idol scene, contemporary asian music, the international club scene, astrology, mysticism, among others.

Currently, he is working on the production of various records that will be released along the rest of the year.
