envyが、2020年2月5日（水）に発売する7thフルアルバム『The Fallen Crimson』から「A step in the morning glow」を本日11月15日（金）に先行配信リリースした。

 
過去最高作品とメンバーが認めるニューアルバムは、envyの金字塔と言われている「君の靴と未来」を彷彿とさせるピュアでアグレッシブな攻撃的なサウンドを打ち出した楽曲や、シングル『Alnair in august』で披露した「Dawn and gaze」の様な美しくて壮大なサウンドスケープを前面に打ち出した楽曲など、バラエティーに富んだ全11曲を収録。

 
この「A step in the morning glow」はアルバムのラストを飾るナンバーで、日本を代表し世界に影響を与え続けてきたポスト・ハードコアの雄が5年の時を経てついにリリースするアルバムを象徴するかのように、これまでのenvyを系譜しつつも新たなスタイルの定義を確立した楽曲となっている。

 
なお、2020年2月11日（火・祝）には恵比寿LIQUIDROOMにて『The Fallen Crimson」Release show』を開催することが決まっている。
